21 May 2008, Regarding the finding of a solution to the current situation in Lebanon. (Unofficial Translation)

Turkey views with satisfaction the decisions taken at the conclusion of the meeting of the Arab League Committee on 15 May 2008 in Beirut, under the co-chairmanchip of the Prime Minister of Quatar and the Secretary General of the Arab League, which envisages the finding of a solution to the problem through dialogue.

We sincerely wish that a concrete result which will lead to the endind of the political crisis in Lebanon will emanate from the meeting announced to take place in Doha with the participation of all the parties.

We appeal to all the parties in Lebanon to act from now on in dialogue, on the basis of constitutional legitimacy, in a spirit of national conciliation.
