June 2008, Regarding the abhorrent terrorist attack that
took place on 6 June in Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka claiming 21

The abhorrent terrorist attack that took place on 6
June in Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka, claiming 21 lives and wounding
47 persons, has aroused deep sorrow and concern.
Turkey strongly condemns this terrorist attack which aims at disrupting
the stability of Sri Lanka, and shares the grief of the Sri Lankan
people. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims
and the Government and people of Sri Lanka, and wish speedy recovery
to the injured.
Turkey, expressing in the strongest terms at all international,
regional and bilateral fora that terrorism, regardless of its sources
and pretexts, is a crime against humanity, once again underlines
the vital importance of effective international cooperation and
solidarity in the fight against terrorism.
